A son and a FiL whose names end in 'n', neither of them a variant or a soundalike of Aidan.

New hire was almost fired this morning. I'm willing to accept her misunderstanding of the schedule.
Isn't she the one who flaked and went home sick her first day but didn't bother to call to tell you? She sounds sketchy as hell.
Steph, yeah same. Although it wasn't her first day but her third.
I'm sure she thought she was going to be fired when I spoke to her today, and I think she can work out and is bringing some good experience to the table. But she's in the line and now knows it in the case of future infractions and her position is posted back online just in case.
She sounds sketchy as hell.
Yup.
My nephew has a name that ends in 'n' but neither of my brothers nor my father, nor my husband does. One of my 3 uncles does...no 2 do but one doesn't go by his 'n'-ending first name. Of my 6 boy cousins, 3 have names that end in 'n'.
Ugh. Roommate has still my paid the rent. She's not in town but when I texted her this weekend claimed she had mailed it with tracking, and that it should be here by Tuesday. It's Wednesday and still not here. Grrrrr.
Miss Kitty apparently slipped out the door when I left the apartment earlier today. She is not one to escape and I'm kinda stunned I didn't notice. At some later point, CJ says, one of the maintenance guys knocked and as soon as CJ opened the door Muss Kitty zipped back inside. I'm guessing she was hanging by the front door looking pathetic.
She used to be an indoor/outdoor cat when we lived in California. Glad she didn't decide to explore and knew which door was ours.
Only 1 of my 8 nephews is a 'n', a John, the others in age order are Robert, Scott, Joshua, Joseph, Santino, Gregory, and Negasi. Skewing the numbers.
Question for Steph: ever since I finished my 5-day course of azithromycin (Z-Pack) I've been extremely fatigued. Like, sleep all day tired. Is this a normal reaction, or am I dealing with something else?
That's not good, meara.
Glad she came home, Suzi.
I am finally making kale salad! Out of something called "green kale" that looks very different from the dino kale I am used to. The leaves did not seem like they would take well to chiffonade so I just started at the top of the bunch and chopped until I got to the stems. What seemed like a manageable bunch of kale thus was transformed into a fuckload of kale confetti. 3.5 oz of grates pecorino romano seems like quite a lot, for the record. I hope I like this, because there is quite a bit of it.
I didn't realize until I had already started that the recipe ends with "let the salad sit a room temperature for an hour before serving". Oops. So I'm having scrambled eggs (beaten in the same container I whisked the dressing in, and then scrambled in browned butter which was accidental but quite tasty) to keep my strength up until I can finally see what kale salad is all about.
Talked to my mum. Apparently my Christmas visit reintroduced brussel sprouts into the family menu, and they've been eating them at least once a week ever since.
