Because books.

Suzi, definitely ask the orthopedist about your finger. That doesn't sound good.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

shrift has reminded me to have a little pre-dinner snack.

I had dried blueberries and sunflower seeds. I should give myself a gold star for every day that I don't eat the potato chips.

Because books.

I had homemade popcorn (no butter), which seemed healthyish at the time.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

So today at work the fire alarm went off, across the entire fifth floor.(Drills usually only go off in one wing) Not any other floor. Ended up outside for a bit. Good thing it was a nice day. Still don't know why the alarm went off.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Still having green smoothies after the gym. ISTG, I feel like Popeye with all the spinach I get in those things.

t edit But don't let that fool you into thinking I eat "healthy"; let us not forget the coffee cake incident.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

But it was healthy coffee cake!

Furniture oiled. Had just enough oil to finish up. Have to remember to get more for the second coat on surfaces.

And dear god, I needed to do Something. I feel so much less edgy now. Part of me is still all but you could still go get a quick swim but my Responsible Citizen is winning that battle. eta: Especially since the radio just started a piece on Ebola.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Strange moment of the day...got a Fed Ex delivery of Scrip cards, as I do every month for CJ's search and rescue team. The delivery guy not only commented that I had moved but remembered the old address also. Not sure if that is "hey, good memory" or "creeper".

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Or both, Suzi?

I was throwing something into the recycling bin at school and scraped the hell out of my finger. Given coumadin, it should bruise nicely. Then getting Grace into the car, I wacked my head. Now I keep thinking, what if I have some sort of brain bleed now. THANKS, GRACE.

Ahem.

I have issues.

K wouldn't let me wear flip flops to school today. as sad.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm so thrilled: sent an apologetic email yesterday to the city requesting yard waste removal. Today they swung by and told my intern they'd be by in the morning to take care of it. I love happy relationships and all the positive benefits (I still remember back when our evil ED got the reply "we are not your dogs here to do your bidding" paraphrased. I need to look it up again, it was a deliciously bitchy slapdown).

And my intern is so wondrous that she gave clear directions about what to take and also what not to with absolutely no input from me.

Now to prepare myself to give the paid hire a talking to.
