Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Furniture oiled. Had just enough oil to finish up. Have to remember to get more for the second coat on surfaces.
And dear god, I needed to do Something. I feel so much less edgy now. Part of me is still all
but you could still go get a quick swim
but my Responsible Citizen is winning that battle. eta: Especially since the radio just started a piece on Ebola.
Strange moment of the day...got a Fed Ex delivery of Scrip cards, as I do every month for CJ's search and rescue team. The delivery guy not only commented that I had moved but remembered the old address also. Not sure if that is "hey, good memory" or "creeper".
Or both, Suzi?
I was throwing something into the recycling bin at school and scraped the hell out of my finger. Given coumadin, it should bruise nicely. Then getting Grace into the car, I wacked my head. Now I keep thinking, what if I have some sort of brain bleed now. THANKS, GRACE.
Ahem.
I have issues.
K wouldn't let me wear flip flops to school today. as sad.
I'm so thrilled: sent an apologetic email yesterday to the city requesting yard waste removal. Today they swung by and told my intern they'd be by in the morning to take care of it. I love happy relationships and all the positive benefits (I still remember back when our evil ED got the reply "we are not your dogs here to do your bidding" paraphrased. I need to look it up again, it was a deliciously bitchy slapdown).
And my intern is so wondrous that she gave clear directions about what to take and also what not to with absolutely no input from me.
Now to prepare myself to give the paid hire a talking to.
I went swimming! I would tell you I was picking up your slack, sarameg, but that is laughable. I got in 4 full laps and I am proud of it, though!
Maybe I'll make salad for dinner, even. Though that may be more effort than I want to put in. Tired.
Also, I am tentatively adopting a bonded pair of female rabbits (currently named Lucy and Vera) maybe net week sometime (they are getting fixed on Sunday). I'm not sure if there is more to this process...
Blanco, who played Shadowfax in the LotR movies (well one of the horses who played Shadowfax) has died.
Oh, so sad! What a marvelous horse he was.
I thought I was having some new digestive disturbance. It was the combined sound of Loki and Pumpkin's snores (they're stretched from my hips to ankles, like they've been the past 2 days.)
that's pretty funny, sarameg.
My stylist did an amazing job coloring my hair. It looks so much better than when I do it. I just wish it didn't cost me $95 a pop!
Finished my final lesson for my online course! I am feeling super incompetent right now (left my phone in the car, rather a lot of little stuff along those lines today) so I am going to wait to take the final until tomorrow, I think.
Dinner was a tortilla wrapped around two slices of cheese (pre-sliced for me by the nice people at Tillamook), not made into a quesadilla because that would be too much trouble. This would not fly at T's Tiny Restaurant, I suspect. Not if Gordon Ramsey heard about it. Though I did have mango foam (such as it is, the foaminess dissipates SO FAST) for dessert.
I hope you enjoy the pretty color more than you miss the money, Burrell. Way better than spending big bucks on a cut and color you don't love, that's for sure.
I think I want to change my color. The roots are so obvious right now, and really startlingly gray. I just don't know what color. I don't really want to be blonde again, but I'm tired of the reddish brown I've been doing. I also need to cut it.
Also, I am tentatively adopting a bonded pair of female rabbits (currently named Lucy and Vera)
Oh, please change the one name to Ethel.
