Woe to the fucking wicked.

Is the 1.99 one the 5k? That one is only 8 weeks long, whereas the big one is...very big. I expect it to take me the rest of the year to catch up with the story.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think that's it, yeah. Does the spendy one include the 5k to start? I am slow and have bad knees.

Also, is it possible to do this when running on city sidewalks? There isn't a track near my office so I normally just run to the UN and back, and there aren't a lot of places where I can sprint.

Trying miso broth. Feeling something like hunger. But I can't stay awake for more than an hour at a time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It does not. The 5k training app does not require sprinting, though it does include skipping and other exercises which you may or may not be willing to do on the street. And you can do the main game without the zombie chases, which might be best to avoid getting eaten while you wait for a light to change. If you do do the chases, it's about 1 minute of speeding up each time, so maybe you can fit that in? I don't know from city running.

Good luck with the broth, sarameg.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

You only have to speed up 20%. I think the real trick is to know how much faster that is, and set a base pace that you can maintain for 30/60 min and also increase by 20%.

I waited for a big sale, but I'm a poor grad student. I think the two of them would be totally worth ten bucks.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Tonight was the very last pub quiz at Last Exit Bar. My team—Hubert Selby Jr Is Dead—won first place!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congrats Tom on the win, and sorry about the loss of your favorite bar.

The status is NOT quo.

Hurray, Tom!

Oof, Sara, I’m so, so sorry. Stomach bugs are the worst.

So I am apparently a crazy person, because for my second half marathon, I’ve decided to do San Francisco (the first half of the course) this summer: [link]

I am in denial about the elevation map.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congrats Tom on the win, and sorry about the loss of your favorite bar.

That^^. Also sara, sorry you're barfy. I had food poisoning a few weeks ago and one of my friends dropped off ginger ale and crackers and Pedialyte (making me feel loved, aww), and I found I prefer red Gatorade to Pedialyte, but other Gatorades are gross.

Kate Middleton's red jacket with the double line of shiny buttons and padded shoulders, that looks like she is physically prevented from slumping by a ramrod sewn into the very lining? That is the most British piece of women's wear ever constructed.

I inadvertently, in passing, in conversation, promised to run the local marathon next year. Considering I can barely do a mile in half an hour right now, and considering I'm lazy as shit, this may be overly optimistic.
