I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, furry purring heating pad.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Seems to me it's easier to deal her kvetching about not being included rather than having her there AND dealing with her kvetching over whatever would come up at the event.

Chiming in here!

Working from home + kids off from school = Acck! How do I get my work done?!?

Although I really can't whine too much. Franny made breakfast and has been a sweetie, and they are playing together nicely now. Work still seems like a slog. Grading, of course!, plus significant class prep needed for one section and I need to prep a training seminar for tomorrow as well.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

MY NEW BOSS IS HERE AND WORKING AND IT IS ONLY DAY 1 and he has already made 2 nice changes. YAY!

In less yay news I think my old man cat OZ is waking me up 4 to 5 times per night. I don't even think he knows what for. Do cats get dementia?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Feline dementia is a Thing, alas.

Ooh. New boss? Fingers crossed msbelle!

I am feeling (and have for the past couple days) v anxious about getting things done and worrying I'm forgetting things that need doing. Not sure why. Does that mean I've actually gotten anything done? Heck no! Though I'm hoping to tonight.

Also, Friday I walked a huge number of steps according to my fitbit. And them didn't even get close to that in total , adding up the next two days. Guess it's not worth it if I'm so tired/lazy after that I do nothing for two days!!

Because books.

When Puck was 13, he'd forget that he had food and stand there mewling at me. I'd walk him over to his bowl, he'd take a bite, wander away, and then start mewling all over again. He had no idea where he was most of the time that last year, I think.

Yay for new boss, though!

Yeah that is kinda what Oz is doing, except not mewing, scratching at things to get me up.

Once he stopped when I showed him food. The other time he seemed to just want me up. The last time he wanted me in the living room petting him. He is 15 and things could be much worse, but sleep, I needs it.

information libertarian

We went to the zoo and saw the one month old baby Bactrian camel! His name is Jack. He was napping with his mom. He is very fuzzy.

Also a red panda was out for the first time in all my visits. Best. Animal. Ever.

The kids were mostly easy as pie. It is so nice having big kids.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

The Opening Day parade was fun, but I think your kids would have gotten bored. Plus, it was REALLLLLLLY LOOOOONG. Lots of horses.
