.you guys, I have so much paella.
This is what the freezer is for, I suspect. I froze a bunch of my oatmeal risotta from last week, and the freezer has become kind of a treasure chest of leftovers. There's some Greek feta-rice casserole in there, and pumpkin bread pudding, and cassoulet, and some of the ground nut & sweet potato stew from a few weeks back. Oh, and I froze a bunch of the beet pesto.
Your freezer is tastier than mine, Consuela. Mine's full of TJs mac and cheese.
Well, you know, I've been unemployed for half of the last ten months. I've had time to cook. I had meant to do a lot more, but I'll be back on TJ's frozen Indian entrees soon enough.
Mmmm, paella!
"One does not simply walk into Mario's"
One wing to rule them all, one wing to find them.
One wing to rule them all, and in the hot sauce bind them.
t- awesome on the 5k!
Sue, I strongly encourage you to buy the $210 bra. Per wear, it's totally worth it.
I spend similar money on two bras at Jenette in Pasadena who did the best fittings EVER. One is so damned perfect and comfortable it makes my Wacoals look ill-fitting and cheap (though I still wear them).
OMG, I have no idea what to do with my new hire. The worst!
Blergh, drama with a coworker. Minor drama, but still enough to make me feel oogy.
We're hiring a new library director, and she'll be coming to town in a few weeks to look for a place to live. So I offered to invite her to my house for a meal while she's here, and to invite all the library staff too -- our current interim director, C; the Lower School librarian, D; and our admin/circ staff member, L. L is kind of a pill but I also know she feels unappreciated in this job, plus she was downsized from her last job and still feels resentment about that. Well, we were looking at two dates for the meal: a Sunday brunch or a Monday dinner. D couldn't come to dinner and L couldn't come to brunch, and there wasn't another date that would work for everyone, so I offered the two dates to our guest (without telling her who could or couldn't come to each one) and she chose brunch. So now L feels resentful about that but is also acting all martyred, saying things like "I just feel like I've been pushed aside again because of D's eating issues [D was just diagnosed with diabetes and is now on a pretty strict eating schedule], but it's fine, it's fine."
This is tricky because it's in my best interest to be on L's good side as much as possible, and I feel like lately we've been on better terms, so it's going to take some time to recover from this perceived slight. On the other hand, I wasn't especially looking forward to hearing her comments about my house or my cooking, so I'm also relieved that she won't be there.
L was going to be a pill, anyway.
I'm full of gronk this morning. I really need to pull out of it and Do Stuff, but I don't know where to start.
Someone is (was) supposed to call me at 9:30. Let's get this over with, dude.
