But then I look at the fancy $20 per pair panties and they look like they'd be VPL hell and go back to Target and buy one of those 3 or 4 packs of plain ol' cotton undies.

I don't consider panties to be a good investment, so I do Target, too. On the other hand, I'll spend money on bras, although once I find a good style I tend to wait for them to go on sale and then load up.

Our wings are not tired.

I'd say the majority of my underwear is from Target. When I can get into Costco again I will look there. Until the snowbirds leave Costco is impossible. No parking at all. Lines 10-12 deep at every register. The last couple times I went there to fill prescriptions it was a horror.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I buy panties at Target. Bras I have to go more expensive to get anything like a good fit, but I am trying not to go too overboard with that since my size is still in flux. Once I stabilize I am totally treating myself to a fancy fitting, if not actually buying the fancy super expensive excellent fitting bras.

5k was great! I kept up a good steady pace until I hit the steep hill about a mile from the finish. I am not great at hills in general, and in the rain and mud I was just concentrating on not falling (a) on my ass, (b) all the way down the hill, (c) into the creek or (d) all of the above. Which certainly kept me from feeling bad about how fast I was or was not going!

Anyway, fastest 5k ever (obviously, it's my only 5k ever (52'55" ftr)), fastest mile ever (14'10" breaking that 4mph barrier!) AND that puts me at over 25 miles for the month of March, which feels good. Did not get stuck in the gravel parking lot when I tried to leave and now I'm home with a fluffy robe and a fire and no need to go back out in the rain. Good day!

A $210 bra??? I feel like at that price it ought to like, get me coffee in the morning, too. Or at least snuggle me in bed?

I think it was snuggling a bit. When I am wealthy I will have one for every day of the week.

Has it spoiled you for other bras, Sue? Just knowing that one is out there.

One bit of bad news for me today - I think I have determined that my rain jacket is no longer waterproof. At least it wasn't very cold to be out there soaking wet. And possibly I just need to renew the coating on the outside, I haven't done that in years.

Well done -t! I want to download the Zombie app today. Which one do you use? There seem to be a few.

Congrats on the good 5k, -t!

I cannot even talk about bras, and I'm even at a more reasonable size these days.

OK, the entire staircase has one layer of varnish. Starting round 2 (the railings that I just finished will have cured an hour by the time I get to them.)

I've been using Zombies, Run! 5k Training by Six to Start, Laura

Thanks guys!

I better sign up for another one while I am still on the endorphin rush...

Hooray!

Um, not really. The one I am wearing now I is a very nice bra I got for half price ($36) and I like very much. But every single bra I have has some issue, especially now that they've got some wear--slippy straps, high underwire--and that one just fit.
