I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

I cannot even talk about bras, and I'm even at a more reasonable size these days.

OK, the entire staircase has one layer of varnish. Starting round 2 (the railings that I just finished will have cured an hour by the time I get to them.)

I've been using Zombies, Run! 5k Training by Six to Start, Laura

Thanks guys!

I better sign up for another one while I am still on the endorphin rush...

5k was great! I kept up a good steady pace until I hit the steep hill about a mile from the finish. I am not great at hills in general, and in the rain and mud I was just concentrating on not falling (a) on my ass, (b) all the way down the hill, (c) into the creek or (d) all of the above. Which certainly kept me from feeling bad about how fast I was or was not going!

Hooray!

Has it spoiled you for other bras, Sue? Just knowing that one is out there.

Um, not really. The one I am wearing now I is a very nice bra I got for half price ($36) and I like very much. But every single bra I have has some issue, especially now that they've got some wear--slippy straps, high underwire--and that one just fit.

This was the brand, Empreinte. Splash screen of their website is NSFW [link]

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Bras I am lucky in that Maidenform tends to fit well, and it's reasonably priced. And some of the bras are actually pretty cute! And it's a relief to hear how many of you share my utilitarian views on panty shopping.

I buy my undies at Target (Hanes Her Way) and my bras at Nordstrom or the Rack. Which I guess shows my priorities...

Brava, -t! I too got soaked this morning. When I left the house it was great and misty, but my weather app said the rain would hold off until 10. Woops!

By the time I got back to the car, I was soaked to the skin (SO glad I wore a wool shirt, bra, and undies), and the dog of course was filthy muddy. 90 minute run with an average pace of 14+ minutes, which was disappointing. But it's the longest run I've done in a couple of years, so I'm going to forget about the time and just focus on the distance.

Laura, I really like the Zombies, Run app--it has a fun ongoing story, and a lot of neat things to do on the website as well. AND they're doing an update in April, so excited.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay -t!

It was $210, and I just couldn't. But I've thought about it a lot every since.

Holy cow. (It puts me in mind of the free $600 haircut I got -- so much better than any other, but still not worth it in my budget.)

You guys, I feel amazing! Plenty of accomplishments for the day already and now I can just sit and watch my stories. AND I finally remembered to get blue cheese dressing and take some chicken out of the freezer, so now I can finally have buffalo strips for dinner!

...and signed up for my next one May 3rd in Napa. If anyone is interested in joining me after for food and wine that could easily be arranged...

Yeah, 'suela, I was glad I had the foresight to eschew cotton today, but my ancient running tights were still super heavy around the ankles by the time I was done. Probably won't be an issue in May.

Spring for new tights! You deserve them!

Speaking of running, Jesse, you might find this appropriate for the Tumblr: [link]

It made me a bit weepy, I admit.

Thanks!

Also, I feel like my plain cotton underwear (top and bottom) is a sign of being a grownup -- I wore way cuter stuff when I was younger.
