Ok. So I know I use the word awesome without really meaning the true meaning. Until today. The Grand Canyon is fucking awesome. Just...wow.
We go back for a bit more tomorrow, though my foot isn't happy with me for all the walking today. I went without the boot since the doc said I could go without it now but I may put it back on tomorrow.
Did I mention - awesome.
Why is the new mini-series of Rosemary's Baby set in Paris?
That ain't right.
Kat, did the twins have a totally wonderful birthday, as is right?
I hear you on the weight crap. I lost 20 pounds before I got sick and now have managed to gain them all back. I was just moaning to my sister that I couldn't remember what I did to lose the 20. The memory took a hit, but yesterday I remembered! Back on the wagon Monday. I start diets on Monday so that I can cook stuff for the week on the weekend.
sarameg, I had to laugh at DH. He commented on your staining pics because he has such an avid interest in such matters, then he was worried that you wouldn't have a clue who he was making the comments. I patted him on the head and assured him that you knew who he was.
The Grand Canyon is fucking awesome.
I don't really have a bucket list, per se, but if I did, that's on it. Definitely want to get there soonish.
The Grand Canyon is fucking awesome. Just...wow.
Truer words... Mind blowing.
My dad hunted and took us all target shooting with his rifles when we were kids. I think the idea was so that we wouldn't try it on our own. Not that we had a clue where he kept the ammunition. He was safety guy. It was fun. Hitting the target rocks. I wouldn't want to hit anything else though.
Take lots of pictures, Suzi! And rest your foot.
I took a ton of pictures of the canyon, then when I looked at them and they just were too tiny. Blown up room size they would be too tiny. The time I saw the ocean for the first time at 19 or so, and when I first saw the Grand Canyon are 2 times in my life that I was truly overwhelmed.
Laura, he may rest assured I knew who it was;)
YAY TWINS DAY!
Laura, I think the twins did have a good bday. They went to school (where they got stickers and crowns) and then they came home. We went out to dinner at Yard House and Lori and her family joined us, which was awesome.
We'll got to Legoland this weekend (with a stay in the very excellent Legoland hotel).
I haven't been to the Grand Canyon in a long time. That is a place that pictures do not do justice. Pictures are pretty and all, but being there in person is something else. That said, try not to overdo, Suzi, you're still healing.
I hope it's three months and done, Kat.
Thanks, 't. Me too.
We have off on Monday for Cesar Chavez Day. I find it weird that we celebrate a labor leader by taking a day off of our public sector jobs.
