If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've seen cases where people figured out they were fired because of stuff being rescheduled around or without them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think it's pretty outrageous to tell a person's underlings they are getting fired that far in advance of actually doing it. You shouldn't be in that position anyway! But just have the new people start as scheduled.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I am deliberately scheduling a necessary out of state trip so I can avoid her on Monday. I really don't want her getting her poisonous mitts on the new hires, or bringing them to witness -even if only by her sudden absence- her termination.

I'd rather she wer just never seen by them again and we can tell the she resigned or something. That's how my first internship started, actually (but he really did resign).

Yeah, I really wish he hadn't told me. Especially now that he's waffling on the actual date. And after swearing me to absolute secrecy, he then told three other colleagues!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry to hear about TWOP. Hadn't been around there much lately, but it'll be weird not to have it around.

He's a very sweet wonderful man, but he's kind of terrible at managing people ( and hiring them -he already fired his first hire and boss lady will be his second hire/fire).

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My crew often listens to music in our office. A song from the Buffy musical just came on.

the kids will be working soon themselves, right?

If certain republicans get their way.

brillig

Gosh I love our windows. Last time I looked up, solid grey was a rain cell moved over us. I just looked up, clear view down the valley, big clouds rolling, beams of sun on the mountains. I see another cell of rain gathering, but great view for the moment.

A quick google on what to do if you know your boss is about to be fired yielded a lot of information on what I should do if *I* get fired. I feel so unique that google has failed me.
