I ate too much phở for lunch. Like you do.
I got to work at 7:30am, which allowed me to get some stuff done before training started at 8:30am. I'm leaving at 4:30 regardless of what my inbox looks like.

I am always boggled by the personal information people are willing to throw out on their co-workers.
Well, 90% of the time it's a 3-person office, so sharing is truly unavoidable.
This is why I dread the impending move to an open-plan office to be shared with the entire department instead of just our tiny subdivision.
Good for you, though, JZ. People need to know what's up!
What Jesse said!
Co-Worker: I can't believe they put my mother on Zoloft! She's on a hundred milligrams a day. That's too much. She must be high as a kite. That terrible drug! Why would they do that?
Obviously I would never say this about antidepressants, but your co-worker did what I'm trying to stop myself from doing, especially in meetings, which is to make statements based on truthiness.
I got $15.33.Pretty cool, I think.
It was good of you to reassure/educate your coworker, JZ. She clearly needed it.
which is to make statements based on truthiness.
But it feels so right!
If I could have some coping vibes for a friend of mine, she's had a rough couple of years and just got an awful sucker punch.
She'd gotten back in touch with one of her best friends from High School a month or so back. He was supposed to go out and visit her for the weekend but never showed. She thought he blew her off, but when she went on-line to try and find out what had happened, she discovered he had slipped on some ice on some stairs, hit his head during the fall, and died.
She's just (understandably) devastated. I can't even imagine what that must feel like. Words fail.
Shocking new school lice policies
Not all that shocked myself. My kids have never been sent home with it, never had it discovered at the school. I'm always the one who finds it. le sigh.
Speaking of which, I am having trouble getting a hold of dose 2 of our treatments, which is bumming me out. Maybe I'll go buy a silicone hair product on my way home and try it on the kids. I don't like putting the poisons on their heads but I also don't like lice. And my sister looks down on me for failing to keep my kids lice-free.
oh co-worker, you really wanna argue mileage to a job with me WHEN I RUN ALL THE MILEAGE ON GOOGLE MAPS!!! I do not pull these figures out of my ass.
seriously just said to me "well it may say it is that far, but it is really not. I'm not gonna argue with you about it, it's just not."
