This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm leaning towards salmon teriyaki for my lunch.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have a kale/chickpea salad but I will probably go out and get some soup to go with it, because there's not very much.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I brought something frozen for lunch. Chicken Marsala, maybe? Whatever was furthest to the left in the freezer...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm having broccoli-cheddar soup and a turkey sandwich.

I don't know if our eval policy is that strict, but all the managers do get a stern "Not all of your employees are above expectations" email every year.

Yeah, my last job had a hardass line about how the expectations are so high, you're lucky to be meeting them, but below expectations was definitely reserved for Issues.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I think I am having grilled shrimp salad for lunch.

I have a bunch of broccoli, I should probably make soup. Too bad I can't do that at my desk...

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had planned to: work on Dad's taxes, go to the gym, then go get Dad and take him out to lunch. Except his taxes are taking so long! SIGH. I was going to run this morning but it's been raining off and on all morning (yay) and I'm not in the mood to get soaked.

If I don't go to lunch with Dad, lunch will be leftover oatmeal risotto. And a visit to TJ's-- I stopped there last night and of course forgot to pick up the one or two things I really needed, like TEA. Argh. I must stock up on Irish Breakfast before I go back to work!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know, in general I know that comparing yourself to others rarely works out, but it is so windy outside, I thought I'd check the map! [link] And New England looks like nothing compared to that central corridor. Yikes.
