Wow, flea! The market is not like that around here, from what I can tell by for sale signs staying up.
It's hard to get a good look at the seating in those pictures. That's your sofa in the "Get the Look" at the bottom, though, yes?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yep!
In the terms of that house. I kind of like the shingle trim on top of the cabinets.
So, does anyone know anything about Kalamazoo, MI?
I grew up in a small town nearby and also went to a nerd magnet school in Kalamazoo. I'm there frequently when I visit family.
While there is a conservative Christian element and some of my family members are Tea Partying it up, there are two colleges (Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College), a theater scene, a museum and planetarium. The food scene is mostly American and Italian. Great beer, though. In the summer there are a lot of festivals downtown. It has an airport and an Amtrak station.
If Calli moves to Kalamazoo I predict I will have "I Got a Gal in Kalamazoo" playing inside my head a lot when I see her posts. I don't know many of the words, but that is hardly an obstacle
Lots more Kalamazoo connections than I expected--yay! Do you know of there's much of a farmers market/CSA scene there? A good library system? Any decent cross-country ski trails out in the county?
Oh Jessica, what a bummer!
I have lost all motivation today. Not sure why. oops?
I'm thinking about making a pot roast (tomorrow, I guess, at this point), but what I really want is buffalo chicken dip! Woe. Also, I saw a recipe for empanadas using Pillsbury corn biscuits (which apparently exist) -- does anyone have thoughts about if they would be freezable? I'm sure the filling would be fine, and the dough should be too, right?
Buffalo chicken dip? Never heard of it before, so I had to look it up. My first reaction is surprise that someone could be craving either pot roast or buffalo chicken dip (already an apples/oranges kind of comparison), but be willing to settle for empanadas.
Conclusion: Jesse is hungry. Please feed her.
I'm not actually planning to eat the pot roast any time soon, but wish I had some meat in the freezer. And then thinking about food reminded me of the empanadas!
