When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In other terrible news, we found out yesterday that DH was the victim of identity fraud, going on about a month. We have some credit card statements that he didn't sign up for, and discovered that this asshole requested a credit report back in February. None of our actual accounts seem to have been breached, so at least there's that, but I'm thinking we might not want to start house-hunting until we know for sure our credit score hasn't taken a hit.

And a question, totally unrelated! How long does sake keep in the fridge? I have no interest in drinking it, ever, because it tastes like pee, but it shows up as an ingredient often enough that having a bottle handy would be useful.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Purty house. Love the windows and fireplace.

Someone posted to FB a screengrab of a nearby wifi network called "Troy and Abed in a modem" and I seriously think I need to steal that now.

Password=coolcoolcool (or maybe cool^3?)

Thursdays at 8 on NBC, beth. I think old episodes are on hulu and/or netflix

ETA: ugh, Jess, on the fraud. Sake goes bad? on the other. {Still Tasty says one week for quality purposes, but I am bewildered by the idea}

It is definitely a Rookwood fireplace. I can call 'em at a glance at this point.

Pretty much any original fireplace in Hyde Park/Oakley/Norwood seems to be Rookwood. Hey, have you looked at houses on the Hyde Park side of Norwood? One of my friends used to live there, and the neighborhood was lovely.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's supposed to be warm today(high around 70), but temps fall back to the 40s tomorrow. :still giving march the side-eye:

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In other terrible news, we found out yesterday that DH was the victim of identity fraud, going on about a month.

Ugh, terrible! Although on the upside, I was able to fix it when that happened to me with a lot of phone calls and faxes.

Oh, that's right. I always forget that Norwood is its own city. (And I tend to forget that Mt. Washington and Westwood are within city limits. Go figure.)

ION, the mail just got delivered, and there was a big envelope for me...with a copy of the new journal I'll apparently be working for (the place that I kept getting email error messages from on Thursday, who I left a voice mail for but haven't heard back yet). So I'm going to stick with the assumption that the job is still mine. Combined with the AMA job, it should get me to just about full time, but in a weird, lopsided way (pretty much all the work I'll be doing for the new journal will be only the last 2 weeks of every month, and should work out to 20-30 hours each of those 2 weeks; combined with the AMA work, those 2 weeks are going to be insane).

So...yay? I'll feel better once I have a contract to sign.

Because books.

Sounds like a yay in the making, Steph.
