Today, I have frustration.
OTOH, the birds were greatly amusing this morning. I don't know which songbird it is, but there's one that starts a lovely song just before sunrise, and it's back from wherever it wintered. And my doves, Ert and Gert*, were getting busy on the power lines. Doves are so very clumsy
* I've always had a pair of doves that hang out on or near my deck. I don't know if it is the same pair or not, but by default, they are named thusly.
For those familiar with Frank Pepe's in New Haven, Boston just got some amazing news: [link]
Back at the doctor, for travel meds. Good times.
I am not familiar with New Haven OR Boston. Mmm, pizza sounds good, though.
Where are you going this time, Jesse?
I have not named the doves that hang out in my yard. I have always assumed they are the same ones because that is just the easy assumption - and sometimes they have guests or maybe grown children because not infrequently there are three or four but it certainly looks like my usual two plus.
I haven't seen a lot of migrants this year, although I have also not been home a lot during the day to see them. Lots of geese, of course, but not in my yard, as such.
GO TOM!! Boundaries, self-preservation - all good. You are awesome. You are LEGION!
ION - looked up my boyfriend from the 3 months I was in Australia when I was 16. Found him on FB. oh my. He was 24, so he's 8 years older, but I dare say, I look more like 16 yo me than he does 24 yo him. Granted he has probably worked outside most of the last 27 years.
He's the only one from Australia that I have been able to find which seems odd in this day and age.
And no word from HR on the boss situation. He is not here today, he told me yesterday was his last day in the job and.....no memos, no emails, no calls from anyone to let us know what is going on. Obviously some people know, but COME ON!.
You should know who your boss is, msbelle. I am reminded of the time I got called by HR to let me know my boss was getting fired and they were concerned that he might cause trouble. (He did not.) And your other post reminded me of my beautiful roommate from DC who has not aged well. Because of course I have googled him in the past few years....
Where are you going this time, Jesse?
Haiti! (I feel like I should be more circumspect because a person could pretty much figure out where I work, but meh.)
Ooh, exciting!
And a different kind of exciting for msbelle - that sounds mysterious and interesting, your boss disappearing and no information forthcoming about it...
The batteries for my heart rate monitor should arrive today! I am unreasonably excited about getting the whole system working.
Sounds like he was asked to leave his position pretty quickly. Maybe others have caught on to him being a giant dickhead.
Haiti! Jesse is the world traveler these days.
