I'm trying to imagine what "airway fire" means and realizing I probably shouldn't be.
Pretty much what you're imagining. It was during a laser procedure to remove a cancerous lesion from the vocal cords.

(The title of this article is "Lasers and Losers in the Eyes of the Law" -- it's about malpractice suits due to laser procedures. The titles usually don't even try to be funny/cutesy, so I gotta give them points for this one.)

Earthquakes, airway fire, and pain. Oh my.
I'm baking some muffins in my new oven! And was able to find everything I needed in the kitchen on the first shot. I even got a load of dishes running in the dishwasher. I feel fairly accomplished for only being awake for a couple of hours. Oh, and work. I'm working too...kinda.

I'm so bummed. The snow was all gone yesterday, all of it! And now we have a good two inches again, and it's STILL SNOWING.
Lent update.
I am doing better with the get something out of the house everyday than the move everyday, must balance the two.
Bag started to used bookstore - 3 books on CD, 7 books
Bag started to Goodwill - 2 shirts, 4 pairs socks, 1 small jewelry box, 1 bracelet, 3 pairs earrings, 2 toys
Trash - 18 pairs underwears, 1 pair tights
"Airway fire" is way more scary than today's earthquake, and for that I am grateful. We live not far from the epicenter, but what with being in bed when it hit and living in a single story house, it wasn't bad at all.
And my promotion is official! Just moved one step up the Project Controls ladder, but this is the second promotion since I moved into this job 6 years ago. Wooooohooooooo!
