Oh yay -- I was afraid I was going to spend this morning in a three-hour budgeting meeting, but no! My boss is going. Phew.

So, you might remember (or you very well might not as it's not very interesting) that I was hearing the sound of rushing water in my kitchen and I was afraid I had a big leak somewhere. Long story short, it was pinprick hole in the copper tubing linking my faucet to the wall (I would have to draw a picture to properly explain how my faucet was hooked up, suffice it to say a previous owner was not big on using off-the-shelf parts) spraying against metal and sounding much bigger than it was and now I have a new kitchen faucet. No flooding, hooray!
I am so tempted to call in "plumbing emergency" to work, but I have stuff pending that would be easier to do in the office than on my couch, alas.
Cool on the intro, Jilli!
Also, the weather is doing that thing where I look out at what looks like a lot of fluffy snow falling and think, No way is this just the "coating to an inch" they said on the radio, but then I lean over to look at the ground, and the blacktop is still black.
No flooding, hooray!
Hooray!
I'm taking my car into the mechanics to see about an Ominous Thing.
I wish you cheap fixes, Theo.
I do not know what I am going to get out of my house today. I didn't manage to think about it last night and go find something.
I know tomorrow will be some books, I will finish a book tonight and it and 4 that mac has read will go to half-price books.
I could probably get home at lunch if I could think of something to go get. ideas?
I am reaching the point where the stuff I want to get rid of is stuff I need to sell, I guess some time on ebay tonight would behoove me.
Go -t, with your plumbing-fu.
Theo, may the thing be not so ominous.
Jesse are you getting the giant blobs of snow that we got? It was so surreal.
eBay sounds good, msbelle -- I think work today on future getting-rid counts.
aurelia, it's not giant blobs right here, but still pretty fluffy. And currently blowing up past my window.
I sent a message to a former coworker of mine who lives in Austin and who was at SXSW last night. I know the odds are that she's fine, but I'd really like to hear back from her.
