Charlie has decided he doesn't want to go outside in the dark, even on leash.
I need more coffee.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

More than a pink tub, I'd want a purple tub. But seriously, if I had to choose, I'd just go with a nice large waterfall shower with a seat in it.
When I was growing up, this one kind of hippy dippy (for a small town) family had a purple clawfoot tub and a mirror over their bed. It was very shocking in 7th grade. Their kids also had a trailer to party in in the back yard that they wallpappered with flattened beer cans.
Sometime in the last 10 years, the father came out. Which was weird to me only because they were they only parents that seemed to have sex.
Running so late this morning, I'm just crossing my fingers that everyone else on the bus route is too, and that the kids don't miss the bus. Ugh.
On the schedule for today is an encounter with a former mentor of my sister's who is completely unpredictable, she has vaguely threatened to sue us on occasion and at other times she's nice. I'm giving her some things of Liz's that I think she should have, but I'm way more stressed out by this exchange than I need to be. Double ugh.
My dream bathroom has a steam shower with a bench in it.
Today is work - dentist - work - CJ to the doc to discuss ADHD - work - pack - sleep. Wheeeeee?
A claw foot tub over the bed sounds dangerous no matter what color it is.
At the dentist. My teeth are worse than expected and I had low expectations. Now to come up with a game plan. But I'm alone waiting for now.
My cable and internet have been out since Friday. I'm at home waiting for Comcast to show up. They're supposed to be here between 10:00 and 12:00. Seven minutes left....
eta: Clearly I can't do math today.
I got a call from Comcast--the guy is running late but should be here... sometime.
ION, tonight I go to an orientation at the cat-rescue place I applied to volunteer at (as a photographer). So apparently that's actually gonna happen.
Does anyone have a favorite pet shelter adoption site that has good pictures of the pets up for adoption? I wanna get some sense of what other pet photographers are doing.
I found a how-to video for shelter pet photography that was useful. They recommended using a 50mm lens with the aperture open all the way to get a nice blurred background that draws the viewers' attention to the pet.
Here's a picture of Squeaky I took following that advice: [link] (I used a 35mm lens which would be the equivalent of a 52.5mm lens on a full-size DSLR.)
The prodigal returns!
