Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, Lilo&Stitch always makes me cry. Love that movie.

I need a microwave cooking check. The directions for this microwave pasta dish says 10 minutes in a 1200-watt oven. My oven has a sticker inside that says 1.48 kW. So I nuked it for 9 minutes instead of 10. Is that about right?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think I must be the only person in the world who didn't like Lilo & Stitch. Maybe I was just in a mood when I saw it.

Why do so many YA novels use first person present POV? Some authors make it work, but some really, really don't. The third book of the Divergent series is firmly in the latter category.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The third book of the Divergent series is firmly in the latter category.

If only that was its only problem.

Comos is on, y'all! I love the idea of thousands of nerds all over the country watching it in unison. (Yes, I know about DVRs and the usefulness of being able to time-shift TV viewing. Still, I like thinking that I'm watching Neil deGrasse Tyson with a bunch of fellow nerds.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I would probably just do the 10 minutes, Zen. I don't know if power and time are related linearly or what (though I suppose I could think about the physics and figure it out, if my brain was really working today, which I don't think it is), and I doubt it really makes that much difference.
