I usually just replace about half the water I'd normally use with coconut milk and it works well.
That's what I do too. Plus a little salt to counter the sweetness of the coconut milk.

Shin kicking would be better than wanting to bash heads in.
The shots are subcutaneous so not so bad. Though I think I worry about it all day and then I have to do it and it does hurt (not the stick, but the putting in the medicine).
