We have Anne W's weather, except 6 hours later. It's sleeting right now. There's an open house we could walk to, but it seems likely to be cancelled; I suppose I should call and find out.
We have a sushi-making class scheduled for 6 pm at Findlay Market. I suspect it will be cancelled. Damn you, winter!
Stopped at TJs on the way(? it's less out of the way than Columbia TJs, but I passed my house) home and it was a complete and utter batshit crazy madhouse. I've been there at 10:30 on a sunday before, it's usually not bad. This was...I don't even know.
Depending on the radio station, we're getting anywhere from 2-14". I can't even. We passed a convoy of cherry-pickers-woodchopper trucks on the beltway, and that's never a good sign: they're staging for An Event. Uhg.
I guess I'll drop by work this evening and grab the laptop. UHG NO MORE SNOW.
Maria's much more packed than she thinks she is. But it won't feel that way.
We have one more cookie booth today in about an hour. I hope the rain stays away long enough for us to survive it. We have 70 more boxes to get rid of and then I'm mostly done, except for the money nagging.
OK! I have cleaned the bathroom and hung some pictures, and rearranged some stuff to get my (grandmother's) china out of my mother's hutch (currently in my spare bedroom) and into my china cabinet. People are funny: My mother doesn't like the china because "it's pink," and my grandmother always used pink tablecloths with it, but actually look at the pattern: [link] Not that pink!

I did not know that.
That is not very pink. Probably looks more pink on a pink tablecloth?
Kitchen clean up is progressing slowly, but progressing. I am discouraged because the next thing I wanted to cook, two ingredients are still frozen despite thawing in the fridge since yesterday. They are thawing in the sink now, maybe that will be faster.
I'm trying to catch up on my TiVo, but Grey's is too much angst and drama for me.
Attack of the naps. After a large cup of coffee. I can't even blame the cats, even though I woke up with Pumpkin snoring on my head and Loki ottering on my torso. Didn't even feel them jump up.
Soon as I stop yawning and shake off the sleep, going to go swim. Signs seem dubious for tomorrow. Maybe early.

Well, sure! If you highlight the pink! I did find some white linens, and will probably use those more.
Ply has suddenly decided that she likes sleeping in my armpit with her head on my shoulder. It is adorable and eventually uncomfortable. When I moved she took off back to the end of the bed and it took me a while to coax her back up. I think she's quite happy with me no longer kicking her as I toss and turn, with the added bonus of scritchies within easy reach. Only took her a decade to remember this (as a kitten she used to sleep in the curve of my neck, but she was too tiny and I kept rolling on top of her).
Drawback: it's hard to sleep with her purring right in my face.
Still, adorable.
