Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I saw the Lego Movie for the second time last night. After the movie two different father/son groups came into the theater restroom singing "Everything is Awesome" while I was in the bathroom.

Because EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!

Got up early and have done dishes. I've also been pulling out kitchen stuff from the top shelves to pack. My dining table is almost filled with fragile stuff. I also have a pile by the sink to wash off before they get packed. But I'm taking a break.

Outside we have Hollywood snow. Lots of small flakes drifting down making everything look picturesque. But, so far, not sticking to the roads. It has even made the pile of dirty snow across the street look like the mountains, snow capped dirt.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

We're in a lull between a batch of mixed sleet/snow and what's supposed to be another 4 inches of snow.

I do not plan to leave the house at all today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The best kind of snow!

I have a lot of cleaning and housework to do. So far, I've put in a load of laundry. Meh.

After remembering I have HBO, I started watching True Detective last night, and....eh? I'm not in love.

We have Anne W's weather, except 6 hours later. It's sleeting right now. There's an open house we could walk to, but it seems likely to be cancelled; I suppose I should call and find out.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I really like True Detective, but maybe half of why is because it is set in Baton Rouge and environs and it really looks like it. I'm constantly looking at the backgrounds and getting nostalgic for my childhood - even the interiors look like the house I grew up in or my friends' houses, although what the difference is between those interiors and what's in the background of every other show I could not tell you.

Round one of dishes dealt with, goat pot roast is in the crockpot. I did kind of a lot before I had breakfast and coffee, so now I am taking a break with a ginormous mug. Still to do: more dishes, laundry, recycling wrangling, catbox maintenance, zombie training, and pancakes. And pay bills. At some point I need to do my taxes. Probably not today, but I expect a refund so I should get to it soon. And flea treat the animals. And feed the birds. OK, this is not a well-organized to do list.

Oh, that's cool. I feel like I wasn't quite paying enough attention, so I will give it another shot and see how it goes.

We have a sushi-making class scheduled for 6 pm at Findlay Market. I suspect it will be cancelled. Damn you, winter!

Stopped at TJs on the way(? it's less out of the way than Columbia TJs, but I passed my house) home and it was a complete and utter batshit crazy madhouse. I've been there at 10:30 on a sunday before, it's usually not bad. This was...I don't even know.

Depending on the radio station, we're getting anywhere from 2-14". I can't even. We passed a convoy of cherry-pickers-woodchopper trucks on the beltway, and that's never a good sign: they're staging for An Event. Uhg.

I guess I'll drop by work this evening and grab the laptop. UHG NO MORE SNOW.

Maria's much more packed than she thinks she is. But it won't feel that way.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

We have one more cookie booth today in about an hour. I hope the rain stays away long enough for us to survive it. We have 70 more boxes to get rid of and then I'm mostly done, except for the money nagging.
