do you feel compelled to watch both of them in order, and then move on to the next day's eps,
I may feel compelled, but often I scroll through and chose a preferred guest.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

shrift, I love that cut. And you know what? I don't think I had any idea what you looked like. How funny is that, after all these years.
Floors vacuumed and mopped, dinner et. Also, third shower of the day.
If I don't have time to watch at least one set of both shows back to back, I usually won't start watching, though I will sometimes skip parts of them if the guest doesn't spark my interest.

Hah--one of the things I love about this place is that even if *I* haven't met everyone in person, almost everyone here has met SOMEONE I've met in person.
Argh. My sofa is one piece of an Ikea sectional, which is perfect for my tiny apartment, but I'm about to have a way bigger living room, so I thought I could get another piece, and it's discontinued! Sad. Fingers crossed someone is selling one on craigslist.
Check eBay too Jesse, all sorts of discontinued and vintage stuff shows up there.
Yeah, I'll keep an eye out. Craigslist has the benefit of being all local, because my current sofa isn't that great anyway and I am also looking for a new one!
TimeWarner decided not to record two things today, both racing.
I just got rid of TW for tv (still have it for Internet). The Directv installers came on Friday and so far I really like Directv. The DVR isn't resetting, programs are getting recorded (so far) and the remote is far more responsive.
If I start jonesing, I will look at Directv. I think I can pay to stream and replay NASCAR with driver radios (!!! I love the driver radios) but Formula One is just cable. No other option. Which sucks because I would pay for that happily.
I'm just over TimeWarner. Though I'm keeping their Internet which has actually been nearly flawless.
Random question--when people are catching up on the Daily show and Colbert, do you feel compelled to watch both of them in order, and then move on to the next day's eps, rather than watching them out of order?
I have to watch them in order. Unless TimeWarner didn't record one. Then I move on. But from what I have available, in order.
Once upon a time, Time Warner was in Somerville. And because there were rumors that the city would add a second cable company (they eventually did), the service was surprisingly good. Though in time they swapped out with Comcast, who seems to be kept in line a bit by competition from RCN.
I can only imagine how bad monopolized cable service would be if it only weren't for Dish et al.
ita, my heart goes out for you. It might be a good idea to take short term disability leave from work so that you stay off your feet as much as possible. I'm so very sorry.
