We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Once upon a time, Time Warner was in Somerville. And because there were rumors that the city would add a second cable company (they eventually did), the service was surprisingly good. Though in time they swapped out with Comcast, who seems to be kept in line a bit by competition from RCN.

I can only imagine how bad monopolized cable service would be if it only weren't for Dish et al.

ita, my heart goes out for you. It might be a good idea to take short term disability leave from work so that you stay off your feet as much as possible. I'm so very sorry.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Very nice haircut, Shrift!

I'm up to episode 13 of Night Vale. (Do not look at the dog park.) Love it!

Unfortunately, GIF sets from Hannibal are hitting squick points that I didn't even know I had, so I doubt I'll be watching the show. Pity--I usually like Bryan Fuller's stuff.

Hmm, I wonder if I can get a couple of the Night Vale podcasts, inasmuch as I'll have a long drive back to Somerville tomorrow. But I have a wonky Internet connection, so we'll see.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Welcome to Night Vale stuff has been all over one of my friends' tumblrs. Doesn't look to be my taste, but that's what makes a horse race I guess.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

(Do not look at the dog park.)

The dog park will not hurt you.

Because books.

I just started Night Vale yesterday! I think I love Cecil a little bit already.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Adding NightVale to my podcasts, though it sounds like something I couldn't listen to while I work so it'll probably be a while before I get to it...

I am finally mowing the lawn. Sort of. Aiming for good enough...

Well, the tall weeds are cut down to size, which makes it look better, anyway. That's something.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am hanging out at Starbucks while Charlie is being traumatized at the groomers, and then there is brunch with Juliana. There should be some cleaning in there too but we shall see.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

On the list of things that I'm surprised is comfortable is anything at my bathroom sink. I can sling my leg up and over the corner of the counter, and then I'm just fine. And I may just be able to do that with my kitchen sink too.

But I don't want to stand at my kitchen sink! How useless...
