Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

I had TJ's eggplant parmasian for lunch. I LOVE that I can say that. And it was nom too!

I have CJ hooked on their frozen steelcut oatmeal. Another favorite of mine that I have to share. Hopefully they have restocked, I bought them out last time I was there.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That is the problem with Cadbury eggs, flea.

Much onerosity accomplished! Now to see if I can tackle the next onerous peak.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I had broccoli soup for lunch. Not roasted broccoli, but still quite delicious.

Hubby took me driving around alternate routes to work that don't go anywhere near the freeway. There's a whole bustling commercial area just down the road that I had no idea about! An insanely easy-to-get to supermarket that I can easily pop into on my way to work, and it's in a fancy new development, so they'll have better stuff than the branch in my neighborhood that knows its primary clientele is students adn poor people. All sorts of places to grab breakfast if I don't have time to fix it myself. And the roads are new and wide and don't have too many stoplights. This will work.

Connie, do you feel like you drove through a portal or an invisible wardrobe door?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Too cold here for my taste, but at least the sun is out. Snow or something like it is supposed to show up Sunday night. End, winter, end!

... and apparently they're going to meet my original salary request, but it's still a tossup whether the client is going to agree.

And because my life isn't complicated enough, a firm that didn't even give me an interview last fall now wants to know if I'm still looking for work. I'm tempted to sneer at them, but with my luck, the Former Employer gig will fall through if I do that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm finally listening to David O. Russell on Fresh Air, and it's so good!
