Since I had the heretical-for-Americans view that I was being rather overpaid in my last full-time job, the prospect of making a bit less for this gig is not horrifying. It's kind of the principle of the thing, I guess--we're never supposed to make LESS.
Ah, well. I'll find out more later. Now I'm off to the vet, and then to pick up Dad for an appointment, then race home, catch the bus to BART, go to work in the city for the afternoon. Then come home, walk the dog, change, go climbing.
Being unemployed is not nearly as restful as I was led to believe, I must admit...

I am trying to move a bunch of minor onerosity off my lap today. So far, so good. It always surprises me how much can be done by email. I must have sent out at least 50 emails today, and that's not counting the 30-40 more that I can't send directly so I've sent an email out to their directors asking them to send it for me.

I'm really glad I know they are replacing the countertops when I move out. Just discovered I didn't clean up from my super glue repair jobs as well as I thought. I didn't glue any of those items to the counter. Just the tube of glue itself. Gah. But, oh well.
I need to get onerosity off my desk.
It may be time for Instant Boss.
I think possibly a good first step might be to go to my desk, instead of lounging around on my bed with the laptop. I gotta improve my sleep hygiene stuff too.
My lunch is relentlessly healthy today--it even has kale.
