You can always use a gallon plastic bag and cut one corner off, too.
I found that to be very difficult. Might be easier if you already know what you are doing with a pastry bag?

I prefer disposable pastry bags you don't have to clean, and do think they are easier (if probably more expensive) than ziplocs, but I am no pastritician.
