I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, mac & cheese is in the oven. I feel quite accomplished.

Because books.

That's true, -t. And it might depend on what you're squeezing, too. I just always grab them in a pinch.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

OTOH, it's warm enough to bring the avocados out of the greenhouse

Having just spent another day in the polar vortex, I'm having trouble conceiving this as being possible.

Meanwhile,on Twitter... Orlando Jones and William Shatner are throwing down over GISHWHES.

From Shatner: @TheOrlandoJones yer outta your league Orlando... Just think the Enterprise with Crane at the helm. It's too much to overcome.

I just can't even. Universes colliding.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I prefer disposable pastry bags you don't have to clean, and do think they are easier (if probably more expensive) than ziplocs, but I am no pastritician.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What is GISHWHES?

Weird commute this morning -- my subway and bus were so empty, I was starting to wonder if it is a holiday I didn't know about, but then an intersection I cross was backed up way more than usual. Is it National Drive To Work Day??

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Lifehacks for dogs: to tell whether I am still in the shower, try listening for the water to shut off. It's nearly 100% reliable and will save you lots of time over circling back to check every 30 seconds.

Because books.

Poor Darby.

Steph, if you're around, what's the max dose of Zantac you would take for itching/allergic reactions? I'm seeing either 150 or 300 mg but I don't know which.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

You can take 150 mg twice a day or 300 mg once a day. (I tend to go for 150 mg twice daily because it seems to keep the amount of drug in your system more level than a once-daily dose. But honestly, either one will probably be fine.)
