Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Wait, what? Seriously?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Huh, that sounded like a weird euphemism, but sure enough.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's a living?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Colin is the new Maytag man.

And it was very confusing when I wasn’t paying attention to ads but recognized the voice and then face. But, hey, being paid to be on tv, that’s a good thing for actors.

and when all of you people sprout tentacles from ingesting the alien spores disguised as a snack, I'm going to say "I TOLD YOU SO". While running away.

You’d have more credibility if you maybe hadn’t said this about oatmeal. And gin.

Welcome home, Jesse! It doesn't seem you were gone long enough!

I spent an inordinate amount of time today "listening" to RadioLab and TEDRadio when really, I was being slept on by cats. Could've been more productive, but I don't mind stints as a cat bed. They're lovely.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What with the smart phone, I was barely gone from here at all!

Details, details. And we've determined that I like really good gin in mixed drinks. Oatmeal, however, is still squoodgy and ugh.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

If only ita were here....

I think that every day.

Yeah, that thought certainly crosses my mind with some frequency.

OK, here's my big decision that I need help with for today: do I keep reading Azimov's until I finish the issue and then read Ellery Queen, or swap back and forth between them? It's odd to me that they should come out on the same day, but that appears to be the case.

Oh, wait, I have last month's Azimov's still mostly unread. Decision made.
