Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My boss just "invited" me to some (probably actually really interesting) meetings from 4-5:30. Yeah, no. I have to force myself to get my shit together to be on vacation! And not be here until 7!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks to a combination of the baby leopard link, and it being That Kind of Day, I just bought myself a two-toed Sloth phone cover. [link]

brillig

Heard over the wall: "His status says 'She's got a beautiful mind, if you know what I mean.'"

"Wow," said the other, "That's serial killer type of thinking there."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am home. Hurray. And it is not snowing in either New Orleans or Houston, for which I am profoundly grateful.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm at a Denny's in Kentucky. I'm planning on spending the night somewhere near Nashville.

It was almost 50 here! I could leave the car without a jacket!

Don't worry, it is forecast to snow (at least in Cincinnati) again tomorrow.

lisah, that's a lovely sobering moment.

We just had thunder sleet. Now just sleet. I cleared the street about 5 cars down. Still can't get off of it.

The older serbian gentleman living in the house across the street (it's being fixed up, he does a lot of the work, gets to live there) helped me clear off my car this morning, and I helped hime shovel out his. Well, he might be bringing me cheese pie. And offered me tea. And said I should stop by for coffee. And told me his life story. Oh dear. But he's sweet. And honestly? I think he's just probably a little lonely. He's was in SoCal for 20 years, but had to move hear when he broke his hip so his sister could take care of him. See? LIFESTORY.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

People tell me their lifestories all the time. I don't know why. We were in the cell phone store the other day and I rattled off all these details about the salesman and the SO was all eyebrow raisy. I DON'T KNOW, THEY JUST TELL ME! I DON'T ASK!

IKNOWRIGHT? My neighbors were marveling at me, and I was all, um, I met you because there was a gas leak/snowstorm and I came over and started talking to you. WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED?
