IKNOWRIGHT? My neighbors were marveling at me, and I was all, um, I met you because there was a gas leak/snowstorm and I came over and started talking to you. WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED?

Punishingly Intricate

We just had thunder sleet.

We did too! (I know we're only a couple of miles apart but Bmore has micro-climates.)

I was just thinking... I have the email address of the nice lady who found my wallet. A Starbucks gift card would be a nice thank you gesture, yes?

I think so, Shrift.

Your story reminded me of when my college boyfriend lost his wallet on the street in Boston and got a call the next day that it had been found. The person who found it was a friend of mine in junior high. I think I knew she was in Boston but had never seen her there. Bizarre!

hip deep in pie

Just to update, my dad is home from the hospital. They did a bunch of tests, but nothing was abnormal. He told me that he fell once and lost consciousness once in the days before his 'sode, which is concerning. I hope they figure out what's up.

Thanks for all the ~ma and good wishes.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yikes, Dad o' Sue!

I'd have been super-busy and put away a lot of stuff, except for the fact that I've run out of room to put stuff away in. Time to get serious about divesting some of the Stuff.

Well, I'm glad he's home.

To quote my youngest nephew, Tyler (in a broad 'bama accent) It's waaaahyne taaaahyme! Down the block for some wine and nibbles.

I hope they can figure it out, Sue. My dad had a 'sode recently, and after many tests, they basically announced he'd been dehydrated and should drink more water.

I am accomplishement!gal today: I took my sister & BIL to the airport, walked Dad's dog, ran the two bigger dogs, showered (at my sister's house because my HWH is busted), clipped dog nails, packed for my trip, took Dad to the oral surgeon, and I've just done my taxes (big refunds, yay!)

So now I get to take a nap, I think.
