Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

Compassionately intolerant

sarameg Go take a look at [link] , including Andy in the comments.

Thank you so much for that link sarameg! I've never heard of that group and they seem trustworthy. This just might change my life.

I think we got about 8 inches after all.

Cagney was super confused. Fortunately, his buddy, Odin the Golden Retriever, is coming over later. Odin was born for the snow, so maybe Cagney will learn from him how to enjoy it.

I shoveled a lot and am grateful that my neighbor finished what I could not. Phew! Thankfully, I got to it before the icy rain we are getting now. There was a LOT to move, but it wasn't oppressively heavy.

Winter frickin' wonderland, baybee.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I went out for a walk in the snowpacalypse. We got a bit of freezing rain on top of the snow last night. Not enough to cause power outages (at least not at my place), and not enough for the crust to hold me up. But enough for the crust to catch my toes when I lifted my foot. Excellent tai chi walking practice! The trees are glazed, but I only saw one down. A few people are out walking their dogs, but otherwise everything's pretty serene. I like it a lot.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

melanistic

When I read that article, I read that word as "melantastic", like fantastic, and I thought it was a great way to describe it! I still like it better.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sometimes it's better to be doing something rather than nothing. At least this way, if you have to take time off, you'll have a couple work-tasks moved along.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, it is disgusting outside here. I wish it were colder! Wintry mix is the worst.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I think today is going to be a nap day. Work this week has been good, but I'm just extra exhausted and I realized that yesterday I walked a lot more than I have in the last week. Hopefully I can juggle my work after my current conference call to take a 2 hour break.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Man, I wish I could take a nap day today.

We've been short-staffed all week because the Lower School Librarian -- the one who has multiple classes of small children in the library every day -- is home sick with something nasty, so my director and I have been covering her classes, and I've had a bunch of my own too, so I've been in early every day and running all over the school. Now the computer in the story room (where we hold Lower School classes) isn't working, and I just found out we're scheduled to have a fire drill today, right in the middle of my Kindergarten class. Surely that will go super smoothly, right?

Art Crawl!!!

Newborn puppies.

We are a little short-staffed here due to a rash of illness.
