I'm still amazed by that whole thing.
I am totally writing off this week at work, which maybe isn't the best idea ever. But I'm out at meetings a bunch of Weds and Thurs, and out on vacation Fri, so what's left??

Argh. I cannot figure out what to do about this vacation thing. I want to go somewhere warm. And I was looking at various places, but ...I just don't want to go by myself.
(Also pointed out to my boss that I don't have anything scheduled, but I know we have a deadline, and did she think she'd need me both weeks, for stuff to do, because all my stuff I've got handled in February? And she was like "Yeah, don't take a vacation until after the deadline" and I was like "but do you HAVE WORK for me?" and she was all "Oh, um...no")

Had a chat over microwaving lunches with the head of the department about Hubby. I shouldn't feel pleased about watching horror and respect appearing in a superior's eyes, but I'm glad he knows what I'm dealing with. No one's quibbled about short notice on me being gone, but it can't hurt to have Reasons Known.
