Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Had a chat over microwaving lunches with the head of the department about Hubby. I shouldn't feel pleased about watching horror and respect appearing in a superior's eyes, but I'm glad he knows what I'm dealing with. No one's quibbled about short notice on me being gone, but it can't hurt to have Reasons Known.
Oh, also -- Kenji Lopez-Alt at Serious Eats is doing Vegan Month again. This bolognese looks amazing: [link]
the dogs running agility look like they are having fun. That Australian Shepherd has a very similar look to Bailey, not coat coloring, but shape and coat length/style.
I'm so pleased they are letting mixed breeds do agility. We did agility training with Walter for a little while, and it was disheartening that he wouldn't be able to compete because of having no papers (for me, he didn't care (not that he was actually that good at it, either, there were bits he just never got the hang of, like the seesaws)). There are apparently waivers that can be had, but it's just a silly requirement.
I love the Papillon doing agility too.
I think that both the canine and equine versions of skijorring should be an Olympic Sport.
I am purging my work email like a madwoman -= nothing crazy, just a lot of items from my archive from my previous job with this company. Specifically emails with powerpoints and large attachments. Also almost ANYTHING to or from the previous boss - he is no longer working in the US, so it seems ok to delete now.
How come women's curling uniforms are so boring compared to the men's uniforms? These are the thoughts that are keeping me from concentrating on work.
I've spent a large part of the afternoon feeling ill, so that's it for productivity today. sigh

Curlers are actually birds?
