So, I just went back to my list, and of course the three things left are the big ones. Oops. If I do my taxes tonight, I can do the laundry and ironing of curtains tomorrow. That works.

My glee at the new tax document was short lived. Turns out forgiven debts are considered income. So there's $18,000 of brand new income that's never had taxes paid on it that we got no benefit from. Time to run the numbers for filed married but separate versus how damned much we going to have to pay jointly. From what I can find out, student load debt is only forgiven tax free if you work at some job in the field you got the load for.

Got my hairs cut, stopped in a fantastic sweet shop for a treat, and then (stupidly) decided to hit the grocery store for stuff for dinner. That was one stop too many.

When I crutched out to my car, I realized that I was parked close to the car next to me and that the space in between was all snow and ice. There was a teenager who had just emerged from another car and I asked if he would back my car out of the spot so I could get in. I think I made that kid's day. Also turned out that he is Persian, so I thanked him in Farsi.

Aw, nice kid.

Bought a skirt and the folk fest. It's black silk with white skull-and-crossbone and red rose appliques along the bottom. Yes, it's a pirate skirt. Arrr!

(This is the second skirt I've bought from this craftsperson. The other one is black with blue dragons and orange flames.)

I was about to say, I hope you had a MIchael's coupon! I can see how it would be very very tempting to spend All the Money there (I admit I have more scrapbook stuff and pretty paper just because, which I have never actually used to make a scrapbook).

Every four years I am suddenly in the thrall of the thighs of the male distance speed-skaters. And then forget about this when the Olympics aren't happening, only to be surprised next time.

I could see that. I'm also amused at how many "ooh, biathlon" posts there were on my FB feed today. I've always thought it sounded like a pretty awesome sport, even if maybe not fun to watch.

Yeah, I didn't want to say anything, but that's often the case (also I think with mortgage debt that gets forgiven?)

I managed to go to Target and the post office. And Nordstrom Rack, where I did not buy anything for me, but did buy a $5 bra for my sister. And the supermarket but just for a couple things. Debating going dancing tonight, but I also wanted/needed to work out and do some clothes-sorting. Hmm.
