My neighbor's dad...well, basically, they're at a point where hospice would make everyone's life better. But her mom is stubbornly resisting, even though she can't lift him when he falls. And if he gets out of the hospital this time, he won't be mobile. Sigh.
Made a pass at my taxes. Because of the refi, I need to dig up the tax bill we paid out of the cash at refi $$, as it isn't showing up on the bank stuff. And somewhere, my title and reg fees for the car. Somewhere. And this other thing with the points on the refi, but I'm not sure if I qualify. Uhg. I could never be an accountant (which is kinda hilarious because I'm sort of an accountant of data, but I know my lingo. I do not understand banking and finance lingo. Seriously, when you have $$ and %s who the fuck decided on something called points?!)
In short, uhg. But getting it done, painfully.

My semi-annual tax bill was due right when we were in the thick of it. So when the old mortgage closed, it hadn't paid it, but the new one didn't kick in soon enough to do it either. So when we closed out the escrow on the old, title company wrote the check from that. But that's $1500 I damned well want to deduct! If I've got to pay a ridic property tax, I want my credit for it!

school is on a 2 hour delay tomorrow. I emailed my boss this information. NO RESPONSE.
We have no 2 Hour Delays here. However, a local community county had a threat of gunman on campus so they locked them down and all of the campuses in the vicinity, including ours. Fun times.
But it has been raining. I LOVE THE RAIN.
Everything I needed from my refi was on the end of year tax form from the mortgage holder.
