The down puffer coat I have is from Land's End. I love it. It is way more coat than I need here, but so much lighter weight than a wool coat and I already had it from NY, so decided to keep it.
I am working tomorrow and my day starts at 6am. $%^*()!@!
8000 million times of do not like.
Timelies all!
Got to the lab, and it was quite cold. As in, 56 F. Someone called maintenance and it eventually got up to normal, but that was unpleasant for a while.
The websites for the entire federal judiciary system seem to have been disabled by a cyber attack.
It's been a fun afternoon here in law library land.
OMG, the White House is going to do a Big Block of Cheese Day, virtually: [link]
That made me want to rewatch the West Wing.
My old boss had that coat, Brenda. She swore by it in the winter. My big blue parka is also from Land's End. It's too warm for anything above -10C, but it keeps me toasty when it's cold. And it was on clearance too, so it was less than $100.
I also love my puffer coat, which I only got when I moved back to Boston, but I realized today that with a short skirt on, it looked like I was wearing leggings as pants! I was not wearing leggings as pants!!!
How do we get the cheese?
This is the jacket I got when I was in Chicago in December:

It's not SUPER warm but it's roomy enough to wear a fleece underneath for the temperatures we've been having and then it's perfect weight. Plus kind of shockingly unbulky and flattering. I like it so much I even reviewed it on their site, which I never do.
Well, going to the gym on the way home from work, doing a round of circuit training, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi is undeniably pleasant, but it sure eats up time.
That jacket is way wicked cute, lisah.
Should I mention that today was apparently a record-setting warm January day in Sacramento? Probably not.
I am jealous of people who have reason to wear nice coats, though. I like coats.
