Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

To be fair, this is the internet. You can find That Many people who believe just about anything.

We are going to Stockholm the first week of February. It's warmer there.

And thanks to this, I just looked up temperatures in Paris for when I'll be there, and all of the record lows are in the 20s! Totally comfortable.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You guys and your world travelling. I went 15 minutes out of my way yesterday to go to a different grocery store and buy gas, and I was all "glad I don't have to do that too often" about it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

DUDE. I want this.

The number of times I've gotten to work and realized I forgot to turn the crock pot on is significantly more than zero.

Hee. I never go anywhere! (Which reminds me, I need to get cracking on making a work trip happen....)

Ooh, trips to Paris and Stockholm to (vicariously) look forward to. Cool.

The roads are still surprisingly crappy around me. I'm just barely inside Philadelphia County, and they don't seem to believe in salt. And I live on a not unbusy road. At least they plow. So, nice tightly packed deck of slick snow. Still very pretty out, though.

We may go to Paris in April, when the DH has a trip to Geneva, but we haven't worked out all of our travel for the year, yet, and we've both been there. Somehow we've both missed Spain, so that's a possibility.

We are lucky to have a kid who loves to travel and is really good about it. She has her US states map and her world map marked with all the places she's been.

We have been informed that there is no Travel in the budget this year, so no work trips for me. Sadface.

This reminds me that I need to pick a vacation destination this year. And check to see if there are any shows I want to go to while I'm in NYC in two weeks.

I get antsy deciding to take a different route home from work. Outside of comfort zone! Ack!

I just love when they remove all the terrain variations that give you a toe hold for stability. I refer to it as Zamboni-ing the roads and sidewalks.
