Booo!
I asked my new hire to be here at 8:45 today, and she's not here yet! WTF. Not a good first impression.

Jess, I've been hearing amounts that are all over the map, too. The absolute latest info I've heard is 3–5″ today, and then an additional 4–6″ overnight.

Man, what does it take to close the library (other than a national holiday)? Hmm. I wonder if the CRC centers are open. I wonder if I want to dig out my car and drive UP the endless slope of Hamilton Avenue. Probably not.
Note: yesterday was a federal holiday. The Cincinnati public libraries were open. (Also our grounds people had done the best job of sidewalk clearing I saw in my 3-block walk to the post office at 8 am today. The library rocks.)
Timelies all!
Snow day here, and the snow has just started falling. Let's see what sticks...
...which reminds me to get my prescription refilled today, and pick up cat food before Snowpocalypse: Electric Boogaloo hits.
Praying for a snow day tomorrow, pretty sure we won't get one.

Good lord, library. I do love them, though. I think I go to the Northside branch at least once a week.
Snow flurries have begun! Cats are watching intently. Let's see if we get the 3-5 inches we're supposed to.
I miss my old apartment a lot in the winter, for several reasons: (1) I didn't pay the heating bill; (2) that apartment was SO WARM, since it wasn't on a corner and didn't have a balcony with a sliding glass door that sucked out all the heat; (3) Paul the maintenance guy was ON IT with snow removal -- the sidewalks were always shoveled and the parking lot was always plowed (although the street just beyond the parking lot was a mess); (4) the layout was such that I had a comfy chair by the big front window and could park my ass in it and just watch the snowfall (and people's shenanigans, like sledding down the huge hill I lived on).
