Dang, roasted fennel is hella good.
Oooh, that's an idea.
For dinner, I made a big salad (kale, chard, fennel, red cabbage, sweet red pepper, chickpeas, dried cranberries, and walnuts, with a tahini-honey-cider-vinegar dressing), and also ate a chicken sausage for protein. And now I'm finishing the last of my TJ's chocolate-covered almonds. NOM.
This almost makes up for all the potato chips I ate at book club last night. Almost.
Spending the evening reading through this awesome series of posts about Bruce Springsteen. Lots of stuff I didn't know here...
Wow. [link] I can't even finish replacing the sisal on the cat trees I do have.
I had my yearly review today and got promoted (I'm now Director of HR) and a 10% raise! I'm really glad my last company fired me.
Yay, Scrappy! Congratulations, and no doubt well-deserved.
Congrats, Scrappy! That's fantastic!
That cat habitat is amazing.
That kind of success is the best kind of revenge, Scrappy.
Meanwhile I had a phone-screen interview yesterday that went really well. Fingers crossed that this is at least the start of the tide turning jobwise for me.
That's great, Scrappy! I forget--are you on LinkedIn? I do hope you'll update your listing, so everyone (especially former employers) can share in your happiness. And apologies if we connected there ages ago. I can never keep track of things on that site. But I do get an email when my connections there announce promotions.
Improved job hunt~ma, Theodosia!
Yay Scrappy!
Good luck Theo. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I am up and dressed but I can't find the werewithal to leave the house. I am suffering from the coffee conundrum. I need to go get coffee, but I need the coffee to get me going.
Congrats, Scrappy & good luck, Theo!
It's an indication of the stage I am in in life that I'm excited to go to a hardware store today to buy a moisture alarm and hopefully a rubber mat for my workbench to rest on. And I don't mean that in a bad way. It's just funny.
But first, market, in the drippy balmy 40s°. After the temps last week...
Rainy 40s feels real good to me!
I am just slightly envious of that workbench, sarameg. Slightly.
