I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

While sitting on the couch, watching TV, but still!

That is way fancier than me, -t!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

You guys, I just ordered a whole second dinner from Jimmy John's because on the way home from the vet I treated myself to a large McD's diet coke and on the way in the door had a CATASTROPHE and flipped the whole thing over on the bathroom floor.

I'll eat the sandwich for lunch tomorrow.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Super yummy Indian takeout as we both work late and listen to 70s outlaw country.

Totally justified, brenda.

Totally justified, brenda.

I might have just ordered a cake.

Cake is always good.

I am here to validate your choices, buffistas.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I might have just ordered a cake.

I don't know if you can still do this, but back in the day when I worked at McDonald's in high school, you could buy a birthday cake to take home, as long as there was one available and there were no parties scheduled. Not bad cake, either.

Dang, roasted fennel is hella good.

Oooh, that's an idea.

For dinner, I made a big salad (kale, chard, fennel, red cabbage, sweet red pepper, chickpeas, dried cranberries, and walnuts, with a tahini-honey-cider-vinegar dressing), and also ate a chicken sausage for protein. And now I'm finishing the last of my TJ's chocolate-covered almonds. NOM.

This almost makes up for all the potato chips I ate at book club last night. Almost.

Spending the evening reading through this awesome series of posts about Bruce Springsteen. Lots of stuff I didn't know here...

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Wow. [link] I can't even finish replacing the sisal on the cat trees I do have.
