Help!
There's this old friend of mine--we grew apart in high school after I got a girlfriend and sort of blew him off. I haven't talked to him since, except we've gotten in touch recently on FB.
He's sounding like he'd like to rekindle the friendship, but I'm not sure if I want to after I saw him post something in support of that Duck Dynasty guy.
So now he' s noticed a boy on my flickr page that looks like me and he's asking if he's my son. (It's Max, so he's right.)
This should be fun...
edit: OK, waiting for sound of a head exploding, somewhere in NC, I think.
Um, good luck, tommy?
Oh, yay, deboning, Dana!
Jen! Glad you found the side door! How you been?
Um, good luck, tommy?
Thanks. I don't think we could be friends now, so I don't care too much. Except I hate confrontation.
Huh, he finally messaged me back. He replied to a comment I made about my '59 Lincoln and ignored the comment about the sperm donor thing.
Yay, Dana!
Huh, tommyrot. People from the past, you just never know how that's gonna go.
they said they didn't provide tape for their own boxes (I knew they didn't for the random other boxes, but not for their own flat rate ones??)
My post office always does (have brought boxes to ship and forgotten tape multiple times). There are also always fast-moving lines and the staff is always polite and cheerful so maybe it's a freak operation.
Yay for quick and easy deboning, Dana.
Hi, Beverly! We don't intersect enough online anymore. I've missed your words.
He sent this back:
Ah, your first reply just sunk in. Well that's nice that you helped them out.
So. No defriending just yet.
Hi, JenP! Good to see your pixels.
tommy, it's such a crapshoot, getting back in touch with old friends. Or old "friends", even. Sometimes they prove to be people you don't want to know anymore. A couple nights ago I went looking on a whim and found my gay high-school not-boyfriend on Facebook, and sent him a Friend request. He's into raising chickens now, which...okay, sure, chickens are cool. He hasn't replied, but that doesn't mean anything necessarily. We'll see what happens.
Much ~ma for your uncle, -t.
Thanks, Calli.
ION - I put in 15 minutes circuit training at the gym after work and then came home and did 2 miles with the dog. Woo! That's just gonna get more do-able as sunset gets later. I think this might work for me better than trying to run before work as I just want to veg afterwards. I'm doing the zombie version of couch to 5k - haven't been in immediate danger of being eaten yet. I jogged when I was supposed to be walking for the first half of the session, which was actually okay but I couldn't keep it up for the whole thing so I think I'll dial back to walking when they say walk. I can say it's to be easier on Walter who is also a bit out of shape, poor dog. Although he did seem to enjoy the real running we did when we were supposed to run, like I had hoped he would.
