Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

Belated happy savory oatmeal b-day, shrift! Sorry, I got caught up in my Drama and Whininess.

Calli, are you using the straight oil (like for cooking) or the lotion form of the oil?

I use the lotion form and I go through a TJs tub every month. One of my swim friends said to try the straight oil, but I fear what it will do to my clothes.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Allegedly coconut oil is a good lube. I cannot verify this, because I'm unwilling to experiment with a system that works.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I use the straight oil, not a lotion. By the time I get from my bathroom to my bedroom, where I dress, it's pretty much melted into my skin, and I haven't noticed any transfer onto clothes. My the oil stays on my face a bit longer because I really slather it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I also use coconut oil for moisturizing. Just the oil, I've never seen the lotion. It soaks in fast and works really well. Also my cats like to lick it off my hands and legs, so that's fun. It's probably good for them.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm using coconut oil for everything these days. I bought a huge pot at Costco and am loving it.

I even made my own toothpaste with it and I really like it.

Because books.

I think the trick is using it right out of the shower, or that's what they've always said. I should try it, too. I actually have some almond oil -- maybe I should finish that first and see how well it works.

For lips, I'm a Burt's Bees addict.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Happy birthday, shrift!

I use coconut oil for lotion all the time, and it absorbs in right away for me. But my absolute favorite moisturizing product is Bee Magic.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy birthday, shrift!

Sara, I love that you have neighbors who rescue you from the roof, but I especially love that they take pictures first.

I've simmered through 3 kettles of water and my kitchen windows aren't even fogging and it is 11 out (they sometimes do when I have a lot of dishes.) Found my penguin humidifier and turned it on in my bedroom, stupid mineral powder dusting bedamned.
