sara, you have old-fashioned radiators, right? Put a bowl of water on them to create some humidity. I know the dry heat is killing me, but we have electric.
Calli, does it smell a lot like coconut?

Yes, last night's. Ooh, let's see if I see what thing you mean!
Heh. I'm curious to see if you pick it out. You can post here or in Procedurals after you watch it.
I've started slathering myself with coconut oil after my morning sower, and it's done wonders for my winter dry skin. Trader Joes has jars of it, pretty cheap.
My lips are so fucking chapped and NOTHING HELPS. So annoying.
I've got a pot on the stove simmering now.
Normally my lips don't chap unless I'm dehydrated, but this weather is just too much and all that time out in the wind today didn't help.
Also, Sarah and Joe won't tell me their favorite libation, and god, I owed them so much. Sarah's ladder, their rescue and then Joe insisted on going back up on the roof to pour more hot water down when I was all 'good enough' because I wasn't getting back up on the fucking roof. And they're the ones that 'helped' (AKA took over) rehang my cabinet last year when it fell off the wall. Joe is the best neighborhood's boyfriend ever. There's a reason he is part of our girls' wine night.

Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. I saw it recommended somewhere for people on Accutane, and found it at Target, and it's amazing.

The pricier stuff from my co-op doesn't smell like much of anything. The Trader Joes stuff smells a bit coconutty.
Belated happy savory oatmeal b-day, shrift! Sorry, I got caught up in my Drama and Whininess.
Calli, are you using the straight oil (like for cooking) or the lotion form of the oil?
I use the lotion form and I go through a TJs tub every month. One of my swim friends said to try the straight oil, but I fear what it will do to my clothes.
Allegedly coconut oil is a good lube. I cannot verify this, because I'm unwilling to experiment with a system that works.
I use the straight oil, not a lotion. By the time I get from my bathroom to my bedroom, where I dress, it's pretty much melted into my skin, and I haven't noticed any transfer onto clothes. My the oil stays on my face a bit longer because I really slather it.
