Happy birthday shrift!
It's just cold and sunny here. I kinda like it. I mean, I wouldn't want to be camping right now, but for short walks and such it's quite nice.
I've been at work a little over a day and a half this week. That's plenty, right?
I hope everyone dealing with the storm comes through with minimal damage to themselves and their property.
I'm glad you made it down from the roof, sara.
I have a Chicken pot pie in the oven. I just improvised, so I hope it tastes good. But since I haven't eaten since breakfast, I don't think it will matter much anyway. I just want it in my belly!
Mmm, that sounds good. I think pot pie is one of those things that is improvisational by nature.
OK, I have to leave the house. Which is good because the job search is stressing me out.
In better news, we have a full trailer for the Veronica Mars movie:

I am still in pajamas! I did put additional inside pants and fleece over them, so I look sort of dressed, but still.
Also, I now realize why I haven't really cooked anything in two months -- I have not had a full day of sitting around the house in that time! Now I'm thinking about some kind of cheesecake, because I inherited a box of ginger cookies that aren't getting any newer, and I think they would make a good crumb crust.

That sounds awesome! As does the chicken pot pie.
Now I'm reconsidering my whole dinner strategy.
Many happy returns, shrift!
Everyone's meals (actual and theoretical) sound amazing to me. Maybe I should eat lunch.
Yeah, the crux of this conversation for me is that I'm hungry.
I am still in pajamas. In theory this is because I'm going to work out, but we all know that I just like sitting in front of the fire in pajamas.

Hey, you are me! Are you also watching S1 Arrow DVDs while sorting out paperwork nonsense?
Okay, that was delicious. And it was only my second ever savory pie. Now, apple turnover made with the pastry scraps for dessert.
