You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Holy crap, what a total dick. That poor kid.

I am at work because my boss never emailed to say she was working from home so I felt like I had to come in. She is here, at least, and coming in wasn't too bad. And it's really quiet here which is nice. Plus I can enjoy the sunshine through my big window (which I have a feeling I'm going to lose in the next month or so).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, Kat. Just wow. People are so weird.

Mmm, dim sum.

That's a great gift, msbelle! When I splurged on paying someone else to mow my lawn a month or so ago, it was a father and son crew, and the son came up and said they'd do it for $30, and his father yelled from the car that it wouldn't be that hjard, they'd do it for $15. by the time they were done he had to admit his son had been right in the first place. I did pay them the higher fee, 'cause they did a great job.

OK, this is the coolest thing you will learn today: [link]

How foxes catch mice under the snow. Hint: it has something to do with the North Pole.

Don't miss the video!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I should mention, before I head out to lunch, that it is shrift's birthday!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But he was happy to use your babysitting services and use you to cover his tracks with his ex. Screw that guy.

Seriously, screw that guy.

Well, in fairness, he wasn't the one who asked us to watch the kid. That was the kid's mom. And he had to be fine with it since he was out of state, couldn't do anything about it and refused to admit where he was.

But overall, yeah, he's a dick.

So we have Signing Times videos. And Grace has forgotten lots of signing, but she doesn't really want to sign anymore. These videos are ridiculously expensive and our local libraries never had them. So, is it worth donating?

The kids are also watching them today.

Happy Birthday shrift.

That guy is the worst, Kat.

The storm was getting worse, other offices were starting to be told to go home, and there was no one to tell us to go home, so my coworker and I decided around 11:45 to leave. I made it home in 35 minutes, thanks to a bus that pulled up just as I got to the bus stop. But they've just told all buses to pull over and stay in place as they are closing the rest of gov't offices and the malls. What a shit show.

I did trip over the curb getting off the bus and faceplanted in the snow, but it was mostly a soft landing.
