Happy birthday to shrift!
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Well, in fairness, he wasn't the one who asked us to watch the kid. That was the kid's mom. And he had to be fine with it since he was out of state, couldn't do anything about it and refused to admit where he was.
But overall, yeah, he's a dick.
So we have Signing Times videos. And Grace has forgotten lots of signing, but she doesn't really want to sign anymore. These videos are ridiculously expensive and our local libraries never had them. So, is it worth donating?
The kids are also watching them today.
Happy Birthday shrift.
That guy is the worst, Kat.
The storm was getting worse, other offices were starting to be told to go home, and there was no one to tell us to go home, so my coworker and I decided around 11:45 to leave. I made it home in 35 minutes, thanks to a bus that pulled up just as I got to the bus stop. But they've just told all buses to pull over and stay in place as they are closing the rest of gov't offices and the malls. What a shit show.
I did trip over the curb getting off the bus and faceplanted in the snow, but it was mostly a soft landing.
Ouch, Sue! Soft but COLD, I bet.
Happy birthday, shrift!
Well, I was well-bundled up. I did get a bunch of snow in my bag though. Wrapping my iPad in a plastic bag before I left work was the smartest thing I've done today.
Well, none of us really "approve" of him. ::glares at the dude::
Happy Birthday, shrift!
Stay warm all you folks! I feel slightly shameful about the warm sun streaming through my kitchen window right now. OTOH, we do get to worry about droughts and earthquakes here...
My poor coworker is probably stranded on a bus somewhere, as he lives out in the suburbs.

True. And we'll almost certainly be under water restrictions/rationing as of February. However, I've done my time in the cold climes, and I'll take droughts and earthquakes any day.
