Connie, lots of people walk them! (Heck, I've done a ton of them and still haven't run the whole time for any of them) It's surprisingly fun--I didn't expect that when I started doing them.

Still haven't seen the roommate--she texted me last night that she couldn't pick me up because she'd been called in to work, and that she'd be home today--but maybe she meant this evening? She's not home now.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Maple was a flavor I craved when I was pregnant with CJ. Maple syrup didn't satisfy the craving at all. After I had CJ I found a place that had maple fudge (without nuts) and that became my one true maple taste. And then the place prompty closed. I've had maple fudge (without nuts) since but it hasn't quite been that taste - I still have to try a taste whenever I see maple fudge (without nuts).

The maple sugar candies also hit that flavor spot, but I have to really limit myself on those. I also keep real maple syrup in the house for me, plus fakey stuff for CJ (he isn't as picky about the flavor).

I've never done black eyed peas for New Years. The current plan is for slow cooker shredded bbq chicken.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

This is freaky. He got so much right!

Quite a bit. Neat.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

This is freaky. He got so much right!

"black President Obomi", holy crap. Step aside, Nostradamus.

I have just ONE MORE THING to do. Come on, Self, go do it! Go! Go now. Why are you still sitting there? Just one more thing! Go! Get up. Now. You. Up. Go.

sigh

I am the laziest person who ever lazed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Leaving aside the Obami thing, weren't most of those pretty foreseeable in 1969? Still impressive.

MotherFUCKER. Why is it people discover high profile oopsies (their own in this case, but I had to fix it) right before lunch the day before a holiday when we're very lightly staffed and freak the fuck out over A MISTAKE THEY MADE AND DIDN'T NOTICE FOR EIGHT DAYS?!! Email BOMB.

I'm not very generous, I think they should have to live with their mistake. And possibly be tasered. But TPTB aren't me. So. And of course, they freaked the fuck out during the time I was gone for 2 hours.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I semi-regularly have hot dogs and sauerkraut on NYD as a nod to pork and cabbage, and may again this year! Oh, but I think family dinner tomorrow will be tourtiere and brussels sprouts, which also covers those bases. Sweet!

For New Year's Eve, I will have pub cheese and possibly pear wine. And maybe American Horror Story!

Also, I need food. I have very little in the house. And I'm really goddamned hungry right now.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

They let us go home two hours early, so here I am. We're going to First Night Alexandria, as we often do on NYE.
