I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

Love maple everything.

I do not have any new year's tradition foods. I am contemplating a 5K tomorrow.

Until this morning, there was a pile of papers and other stuff that had been on my desk since before I started. It's gone now.

That's very impressive! I'm hoping to do something similar with the stuff in my office/some of my home stuff. I had this thought of scanning a bunch of crap. We'll see.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Whew, cleaners are finally gone. Now I get to dirty the kitchen all over again preparing for NYE dinner with friends.

I am contemplating a 5K tomorrow

I ran 5K this morning (although not competing with anyone except my cardiovascular system). Tomorrow there will be a hike with a friend; last NYD we walked a labyrinth in a park in the hills, which was really nice.

I've started the dough for sticky buns. NOM.

brillig

I can contemplate a 5K myself! And then contemplate the joy of sedentaryness and my non-participation in such an event. Joy for everyone.

Connie, lots of people walk them! (Heck, I've done a ton of them and still haven't run the whole time for any of them) It's surprisingly fun--I didn't expect that when I started doing them.

Still haven't seen the roommate--she texted me last night that she couldn't pick me up because she'd been called in to work, and that she'd be home today--but maybe she meant this evening? She's not home now.

Maple was a flavor I craved when I was pregnant with CJ. Maple syrup didn't satisfy the craving at all. After I had CJ I found a place that had maple fudge (without nuts) and that became my one true maple taste. And then the place prompty closed. I've had maple fudge (without nuts) since but it hasn't quite been that taste - I still have to try a taste whenever I see maple fudge (without nuts).

The maple sugar candies also hit that flavor spot, but I have to really limit myself on those. I also keep real maple syrup in the house for me, plus fakey stuff for CJ (he isn't as picky about the flavor).

I've never done black eyed peas for New Years. The current plan is for slow cooker shredded bbq chicken.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

This is freaky. He got so much right!

Quite a bit. Neat.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

This is freaky. He got so much right!

"black President Obomi", holy crap. Step aside, Nostradamus.

I have just ONE MORE THING to do. Come on, Self, go do it! Go! Go now. Why are you still sitting there? Just one more thing! Go! Get up. Now. You. Up. Go.

sigh

I am the laziest person who ever lazed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Leaving aside the Obami thing, weren't most of those pretty foreseeable in 1969? Still impressive.
