Also, this talk of Doing Things reminds me I should pull my rag rug back out and keep braiding. Or, technically, I should pull out my rags that are a future rag rug....
I have been paralyzed for most of the day - not knowing what of the million things I need to do around the house I should start with.
I am just now starting on Holiday cards. 8 down, a million more to go? I am going to send out every one of the Holiday cards I have and possibly some non-holiday note cards, because all of you craziheaded crazies who were wrangled into sending to me, you are getting one back. MWAHAHA. not sure why that needed an evil laugh, but it did. so anyhow - that is one tiny tiny bit of decluttering in progress. 3 new and 2 partial sets of cards, plus address labels and stamps, all getting out of house as of tomorrow.
IOdeclutteringN, I started a new bag for the thrift shop and it is almost full. That is what happens when clothes stop fitting. I will not keep clothes around in the hopes I lose size in the next 6 months, no, I will wear loose clothes or buy new (or at least new to me).
I swear Isaac has outgrown everything he owned 6 months ago. I took 4 bags of old clothes in a couple weeks ago and I have almost another whole bag ready. Plus a bag of nice clothes in good shape for Noah and Grace.
Burrell, when can we do a coat exchange?
Free from the family. So many times I almost got in the car to start driving back home. Lil'bro was extra annoying, prolly due to older bro being there 24/7, or at least that's my excuse for him adding to the usual ribbing with "when are you going home?". "Now" I wanted to say each time. Bickering over stupid shit like whether the effort of putting the spinach leaves and romaine lettuce into the salad bowl was worth the effort over just nabbing the leaves out of the plastic container, from the dude who doesn't even eat salad.
I just really, really hate my brothers right now, older brother especially, but lil'bro was edging up there with his irritation leaking all over the place. And every fun moment I had with lil'bro was spoiled by big bro hovering about looking left out and just drinking in between AA meetings. Way to make a life change there, dude. Sorry, no sympathy for him moping about his lost love as he does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to fix his relationship with her, starting with fixing himself.
Worst Christmas ever (except for how my dad volunteered to do the dishes multiple times without being prompted. Mom's decades of nagging has finally paid off).
Our friend E is visiting for a week, as he does every year. He and Jason just spent an hour putting big hooks in the wall of our room so E can hookup his travel hammock. Yes, hammock! He sleeps in one at home in his big NYC studio apt (which has a fancy murphy bed). Apparently he slept in one on a vacation and discovered he just sleeps a million times better than on a flat beds.
We have a hammock in the gust room! So cool!
And now you will be hammock-ready for future guests. Nice!
I am pooped out after 13 cards.
and omg, only 6 people (out of 28) have rsvp'd for new year's day. wah.

Sorry for disappearing, had to eat dinner. Um, we may be heading out of town Monday or Tuesday. And then I have work to do on Liz's apartment on Friday when I get back. So, um, sometime between Saturday the 4th and Tues the 7th? Do those days work?
